Two weeks until Thanksgiving and the only ink written on the lines is my own. Still I continue because this listing of things is changing me and maybe they will be changed too. I can tell they are somewhat interested. I have caught them reading the list and smiling to themselves.
As I pass by the counter I notice something different on the list. Small print letters in black ink. Dad he has written a thanksgiving and I am giddy with delight. Pretty soon the list...looks more like chaos. A nine year old's handwriting, a teenagers scroll, different colors of ink all naming the gifts. The simple list overflows to those who come to our home. They read and write and it makes us happy because gratitude turns a soul toward Jesus.
Would you give it a try at your house? Just setting a list out to see if those you live with will catch the joy. Click here on this spot and print one for your family.
