Camp Grace

At camp we are always eating. Breakfast, lunch, dinner...snacks, snow cones, and more. Before we go to supper, it is time to say prayers for our meal. The leader begins the Wesleyan grace. It is one of the things I remember from my time as a child at Lakeview. The grace takes me back...standing in front of the cafeteria...singing grace.

"Be present at our our table Lord,






Be here and everywhere adored.






These mercies bless and grant that we,








May feast in fellowship with thee.









Amen."









Jesus broke bread with those he loved. Had a meal, thanked God, shared with the disciples. Meals bring us together, feed the body and soul. The cafeteria at Lakeview is the place where all age groups come together...all smiles...and laughs...until our hearts are full..
