The theme of camp: covenant.
Definitions of covenant are agreement, contract, promises that God made to the human race.
All week I have heard about of covenants...Abraham, Moses, Noah...all received covenants from God. Today we discussed the covenant God made with His people through Moses. The ten commandments.
I hear one speaker say "It is just 10 things, pretty simple right?" Jesus made it even more simple or so it seems. He says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength."
The teacher said it was simple right? I say wrong. Nothing simple about it. Covenants are easy to make...much harder to keep.
Camp is about making and renewing the covenant. Remembering the promises He made to us...renewing those we have made to Him.
We are more than half way through the week. I am looking forward to another great day!
