Go! Be the Light!

Light has been the topic of several conversations lately.  Jesus said, "You are the light of the world".  I've noticed children shining light in places all around me.  They have a passion for giving back, and helping others.  We saw it at camp this week in so many ways.  Little lights shining the love of Jesus all around.  Jesus went on to tell us that a light is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  That good deeds are like lights shining out for all to see so that everyone will praise God.

That's what VBS is all about this year.  Shining light into our community, our nation, and our world.  Each day we will put our hands and feet into action for Jesus by helping others.  It all starts with a party in the park.  There will be a hot dog cook out...music and teaching...and a time of working in the park.  The next two days we will be at the church working on two different mission projects.  The final day we celebrate with a skate party!

Kindergartners and first graders are welcome!  Just bring an adult along. 

Nursery is provided for children younger than kindergarten for adults who are participating in the projects or volunteering.)
