Summer Camp Information

Eighty-one campers...thirteen adults will be headed to camp in about ten days. TEN DAYS! How does it get here so fast? Here's some information that you might be wondering about.

Please be at the church by 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 29. We will leave as soon as all campers are accounted for and luggage is packed. Due to our large group we ask that you pack as lightly as possible.

We will return to the church on Friday, July 3, around 2:00 p.m.

Packing List:
Bible, comfortable clothes, shorts, shoes and sandals (at least one pair of closed toed shoes), toiletries, pillow, bath towel, swim suit & towel, sleeping bag or bedding (twin), money for snacks & gift shop, sunscreen, fishing equipment, tennis rackets a good attitude!

Please do not bring:
Water guns, water balloons, fireworks, a bad attitude or inappropriate clothing

The question is always asked, "Can we bring our phones?" The older camps do allow phones, but there are guidelines that each camp has about phone usage. Elementary campers (5th and 6th graders) are asked to leave their phones at home. We are not responsible for lost, stolen. or damage to phones or any other device a camper brings to camp.

All medication (Rx and OTC) must be turned into the camp director on the first day of camp. All medication will be dispensed at the infirmary by the camp nurse. All medication (Rx and OTC) must be in the original packaging and will be dispensed as directed. There will be medication forms for campers when you arrive at the church Monday morning.

Campers love to get mail, especially the 5th and 6th graders. Please send mail by Tuesday, June 30, to insure it gets to your camper. Send mail to:

Some of you are sending your child off to camp for the first time. You may be wondering how you will know if they are o.k. or having fun. Each year I say the same thing..."No news is good news!" Camp is meant to be a time to get away from the normal routine of life. It gives God an opportunity to work in our lives in a very unique way. So unless there is a medical emergency, you probably won't hear from your camper especially at the younger age levels. I will be writing and posting pictures here on the blog daily during camp week.

Now let's see...did I leave anything out? Oh yeah! Thanks for sending your kiddo to camp. It is going to be a great week!
