We've tried it for six weeks, and with the new school release schedule we just can't seem to get all the elementary kids here in a timely manner. Our last group of kids often arrives with a few minutes to eat snack before they head often class five to ten minutes late. They miss their play time, and I understand.
We are currently in need of a parent or two that would be willing to volunteer their car and time to bring kids from East Side Elementary to the church. There are currently 95 children we transport from East Side to the church on Wednesdays. If we had one or two parents willing to volunteer they would be able to arrive earlier and be on time when going to their option or bible class. Maybe you can't drive but would like to support our Wednesday program in some other way. Each week we give away four $5.00 gift cards to local fast food restaurants. Next time you drive through, consider purchasing a card and donating it to our program. The kids love the prizes and we love giving them!
