Joseph

…Joseph… was a righteous man…

Matthew 1:19

 Joseph was engaged to Mary. He knew God and always tried to do what was right. When he found out that Mary was pregnant, he was confused and sad. Joseph knew that he was not the father of the baby, so he thought it would not be right to marry her.

Before Joseph could do anything about breaking his engagement with Mary, God sent an angel to visit him in a dream. The angel told Joseph that he should marry Mary, because the baby boy to be born was special and he was to name him Jesus.

When Joseph woke up, he did just as the angel said. He took Mary as his wife and when the baby was born he named him Jesus.

God is the only One who truly knows right from wrong.

 

Ask God to help you learn to follow His way, just like Joseph.
