Animals
...the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and
brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
Romans 8:21
The animals
were near when Jesus was born. Mary and Joseph could find no place to stay but
a barn.
The animals
in the Nativity represent all creation. God created all things: people,
animals, trees, rocks, stars, sky. Anything you can think of, God made it and
it was all good. But people disobeyed God and brought sin and death into the
world.
Just like
people need the gift Jesus gives, so does the world. Every created thing is
waiting for Jesus’ gift to be fulfilled. Creation knows that Jesus will make
all things right and waits with expectation.
Animals don’t worry about tomorrow, they just live
confidently trusting God while they wait.
Ask God to teach you to trust Him while you wait, just like
all creation.
